Find out the latest news, and learn aboutwhat students have been up to in their time at the Learning Centre.
Students at LVLC focus on Maths and English GCSEs. However, we also offer other subjects and seek to give students as many and as varied learning opportunities as possible. This week, students at our St Margaret's centre in Whitnash have been learning about the anatomy of the heart and lungs through the dissection of a pig's heart and lungs. Student's have looked at their external and internal structure, and how blood is pumped through heart as well as how different diseases and decisions make lessen the effectiveness of the heart and lungs to pump blood and oxygen around the body.
As well as being part of Biology lessons, students applied their learning in English by writing responses to the question 'Is smoking worth it?'.
